Creative Saturday

Saturday we had no plans during the day except Miriam's last soccer game of the season.  Her game ended up being cancelled because it poured rain in the morning, so we had a very relaxing and productive day. 

We did go to the soccer field to hand in Miriam's uniform and get her medal from her coach.  Her coach and his wife (who was the assistant) were just fantastic.  They taught the kids a lot, but made it very fun and they were always enthusiastic, positive and encouraging.  They made it a great experience for the kids on the team.

Miriam made a purse out of a Ziploc bag and some random craft supplies:

Peter created this Lego bus which holds a lot of passengers!

Esther and I went to the fabric store so she could buy material to make this cozy fleece blanket.  She has been wanting to do this for a while, so it seemed like the perfect day for a project like this!  She did all the work herself.
