Happy Birthday Grandma W!

We celebrated my mom's birthday with dinner and some homemade cards from the kids. More celebrating will occur this weekend when my sister is in town for the weekend! Happy Birthday Mom; we love you very much!

Grandfriends Day

Today was Grandfriends Day at Esther's school. She is so blessed to have 4 wonderful grandparents who spent the morning watching her program and spending time with her in her classroom. I told her that she'd better enjoy it because next year she'll have to share them with Peter! She had a lot of fun, and I think the grandparents did too.

Soccer Star!

Esther is playing soccer again this fall. She loves her cool turquoise uniform and is having a good time playing on Saturday mornings. We've had wonderful weather for the first 2 games... we'll see how long that lasts!

Peter's Hair!

I figured I should post this rare picture of Peter without his Calvin hat on... we took pictures of the Children's Worship kids at church this morning to hang on the wall in the classroom. I thought his turned out so cute! He's quite a handsome little guy if I do say so myself. :)

Happy Birthday Grandma K!

Last night we celebrated Grandma K's birthday. The cousins had a fun time playing together and we enjoyed some nice family time together. Here is grandma with 2 of her 5 grandkids--the oldest and the youngest! Getting a picture of all 5 together is pretty challenging these days...

Kindergarten Visiting Day

Today was Esther's kindergarten visiting day. We had a lot of fun doing different activities while exploring her classroom and meeting a couple new friends. Her teacher is wonderful and we are very excited for her! She can't wait for her first bus ride and first full day on Friday!

Welcome, Cassie Joy!

We are so excited to welcome our new little niece/cousin to the family! Cassie Joy was born to Jeff and Renee on September 3, and we are thankful that everything went well. She is a tiny little 5 pound peanut, but she's already growing and doing great, and is absolutely adorable!

I think Esther was as excited this time when I told her it was a girl as she was when Miriam was born! Esther made a welcome sign for her, and she and Peter had fun going to the hospital to meet and hold their new little cousin.
