Post Family Farm

We took advantage of a beautiful, sunny fall Saturday (finally!) and visited the Post Family Farm.  We enjoyed some delicious donuts, racing through a maze, looking at the animals, climbing and jumping on straw piles, the swings and zipline, the pumpkin train and a hayride.  It was a great family morning!

Cousins

Frog Sisters

Miriam and Esther have pajamas with matching frog patterns.  Miriam would wear these pj's every night if she could, and she also wants Esther to wear hers so they can match.  Whenever she opens her drawer and sees that they are clean, she excitedly says, "Frog!  Frog!" immediately followed by, "Etta (Esther) frog?"  Her frog ribbet noise accompanied by jumping is pretty cute too.  :)

Halloween

We visited both sets of grandparents, went through a couple apartment buildings at Calvin College's Light in the Night festivities, and stopped to see a few of our neighbors. These 3 cuties had lots of fun!

Fall Fun!

We finally made it to the Meijer Gardens to enjoy the leaves and the giant pumpkins! It was great to run around outside after being cooped up in the house for a while with sickness running through our family. Here are some pictures of our time there...

Well, 2/5 of us are down with the flu.....here's what today looked like.

Sunny Soccer Saturday

After a couple of rainy weeks we finally had a nice, although quite chilly, Saturday for soccer! Here are the soccer star and her 2 little fans at the game. Thanks for the cute pictures Aunt Karen!

Pumpkins!

Since it's been so rainy here lately, I decided yesterday to just go to Horrocks with the kids to pick up pumpkins in case we never make it to one of the local farms or orchards for our annual hayride/corn maze/pumpkin picking/donut eating trip. Hopefully we'll have a nice day yet and that will still happen too, but at least now we've got some fall decorations at our house...

Children's Museum

This morning Peter, Miriam and I went to the Children's Museum with Grandma K, Renee, Ty and Cassie. We had a great time and got a few pictures of the kids when they would hold still for a couple seconds...

I really wish I had a video of this last shot of Peter doing the puppet show with the frog puppet. He was making the frog sing, "I Will Enter His Gates" and it was so cute! By the time I thought to switch to video mode on the camera, he was finished and there was no encore to be performed today.

Playing in the Rain

It's been really, really rainy around here lately. The other day we decided to make the best of it and play in the rain. Everyone was completely soaked after running up and down the street and jumping in puddles! Miriam wasn't so sure at first and kind of hung out in the garage, but once she realized how fun it was, she was totally into it! We finished the afternoon with warm baths and showers and getting into snuggly pajamas.
