Florida, part 1

We had a wonderful week in Florida over Christmas break.  We left on the afternoon of Peter's birthday and drove through the night, arriving in Orlando around 1:00 pm on Sunday.  My parents rented a house where we all stayed for the first part of the week so that we could spend a couple days at Disney.  We had fun swimming, playing on the playground, playing Foosball/pool/air hockey, opening gifts, and just relaxing.  We also went to a beautiful Christmas Eve church service and had a nice Christmas dinner together.

Happy 7th Birthday Peter!

Peter is 7 today!  We are so thankful for our favorite little boy.  He is funny, smart, and sweet.  He has great jokes, loves to give compliments, and knows facts about animals and many other things.  He brings much joy to our family!

Today we celebrated by having waffles and then Peter opened his gifts.  Then we went to Craig's Cruisers with Peter's friend Nicholas.  We had fun playing games and eating the yummy buffet lunch!

Kuperus Christmas

Today we celebrated Christmas with Casey's family. We went to his parents' house after church and enjoyed a relaxing day of food, playing games, more food, opening gifts, and more food. It was a wonderful day! We've been joking that it's a good thing we like each other so much since this is the 5th party we've had together in a 4 weekend stretch between birthdays and Christmas celebrations! We really do enjoy being together and the cousins especially love having time to play together.

Peter's 7th Birthday Party

Tonight we celebrated Peter's birthday.  It's so hard to believe that he'll be 7 next Saturday!

It is so fun to watch him open gifts, because he has the best reactions!  He is so genuinely excited about everything, and always gives the gift giver a hug.

Quick... you get one guess as to the theme of the party...

Peter is really into Star Wars lately!

Peter received a BeyBlade set and a
new outfit for Thomas (his Build-a-Bear Tiger)
from Grandpa and Grandma K.
Grandpa had Ty and Cassie on his lap,
so we didn't make him get in the picture.

Uncle Nick gave him a Transformer and a
Jimmie Johnson coloring book
(Jimmie is Peter's favorite NASCAR driver,
the one he met this summer).

Angry Birds Star Wars game from the McCaul family!

HedBanz game from the Haverdinks

Grandma K's awesome Star Wars cake!
She can always come up with something,
no matter what theme the kids give her.

Our handsome birthday boy!
