Sweet Reward

Esther has a sticker chart in her room and she can earn stickers for various things related to nap time and bedtime (see previous post on positive reinforcement/ bribery). When she fills a chart, she gets to choose an outing such as going out for breakfast, meeting Daddy for lunch, or going out for ice cream. (Yes, I realize these are all food-related. She is my daughter after all.)



She put the last sticker on her chart yesterday, and she wanted to get ice cream this time. Tonight we went to Rivertown Mall to ride the carousel and get ice cream at Dairy Queen.

We were all happy to join her in the ice cream reward, but I think Peter was the most excited. He ate a large portion of Casey's Oreo Blizzard, and Casey could hardly get it to his mouth fast enough! What a great way to spend a Saturday evening.
